Dear Colleagues:

As you know, the current budget situation has forced the state to make painful but necessary cuts to agencies across the state. The California Technology, Trade and Commerce Agency is no exception. As a result, the Agency's Pasadena office will permanently close on Friday, October 4th.

Despite this difficult decision, I want to personally assure you that Governor Davis is committed to maintaining and enhancing services to the business community, not only in the region, but in the entire state. Our Agency is currently restructuring staff and programs to most effectively accomplish this goal.

The restructuring will be finalized over the next several weeks. I will therefore be in touch with you soon to inform you of our plans for the Southern California region, including forwarding information, contacts,

phone numbers, etc.. In the meantime, should you have any questions or
